Prayer is simply communicating with God. It does not come easy to everyone. Prayer can be taught by following someone else's example or learning formally. Many adults do not feel comfortable praying and others will tell you they don’t know how. We want to equip the next generation to boldly bring their concerns and joys to God in prayer.
 
When you first use these cards, you may need to lead your child by having them repeat the example prayer after you. As you regularly use them, they should be able to pray by themselves eventually. The goal is when your child ever sees any of these situations presented by the cards, they will immediately go to God in prayer with little or no prompting.
 
Each of the 22 prayer prompt cards are under one of four categories: comfort, healing, self, and help.
