Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, the day we associate love. However, showing love shouldn't be limited to one day or one month. Love is more than cards, chocolate, and heart-themed products. It's the heart that matters most.
When you come to know Christ, you are able to experience and recognize God's love everyday. The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end, for His compassions do not fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I wait for Him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24)
God is an expert on love because He is love.
We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. (1 John 4:16)
We would be incapable of loving others, if God had not set an example. We love, because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. (John 3:16-17)
May the love we have for God and others be expressed beyond today.
