For any deficiency you may have, be careful not to overcompensate by putting your child(ren) in God's place. It's easy to do. Your life should revolve around Jesus, not your child(ren). Model for them your commitment to Jesus. Don't fill up their schedule so much that it drives the family's scheudule. It's okay to say "no".
Remember as much as you love your child(ren), God loves them more. He has a purpose for them. Let Him guide you as you guide your child(ren) to walk out His will for their life. "You shall have no other gods before Me." (Exodus 20:3 NASB)
